What a storm claim can cover

A single hail or wind storm often damages more than the roof. When we inspect, we document everything the storm touched, from the roof to the siding to the gutters to the windows. Your policy decides what is covered, but nothing should get missed because no one looked.

Roof at dusk with warm light on the shingles

Roof

Hail bruising, wind-lifted or missing shingles, and damaged flashing or vents.

Lap siding on a home at dusk

Siding

Cracked, dented, or punctured siding on the sides of the home that took the hit.

Metal gutter and downspout along a roof eave at dusk

Gutters and trim

Dented gutters, bent downspouts, and damaged fascia or wrap.

Residential windows at dusk with warm light in the glass

Windows

Cracked panes, broken seals, and dented frames or screens from hail and wind.

One home shown two ways: a targeted roof repair on the left, a full roof replacement on the right
Repair or replacement

We tell you which one you actually need.

Not every storm means a full tear-off. Sometimes a targeted repair is the honest call, and sometimes the damage runs deep enough that a replacement is the right move. We show you what we find and walk you through both, so the decision is yours with the full picture in front of you.

Roof leaking right now?

Do not wait it out. File your insurance claim right away. Storm claims are tied to a specific storm date, so the sooner you file, the stronger your timing. Then get an emergency repair on the books to stop the water while your claim moves forward.

How the claims process works with us

  1. 1

    Request a free inspection

We come out and inspect the roof in person, free and with no obligation. Calling a contractor first does not count against your claim.

  2. 2

    We document the damage

We inspect the roof in person and photograph what the storm did, so there is a clear record of it.

  3. 3

    You decide on filing

If the damage supports a claim, we walk you through filing with your insurer. If it does not, we tell you that too.

  4. 4

    We meet your adjuster

We can be at the property when your adjuster inspects, so the damage we documented gets reviewed together.

  5. 5

    We do the work

Once the claim is approved, we schedule the repair or replacement and stand behind it.

Your new roof may lower your premium

We install impact-resistant shingles, including Class 3 and Class 4 options. Vista is the line we install most. Many Nebraska insurers offer a premium discount for an impact-resistant roof. The amount depends on your carrier and policy, so ask your insurer what applies to you. We can provide the product spec sheet that shows the rating.

What if my claim gets denied?

A denial is not always the final word. We help you understand the reason, look at your options, and push back when your insurer is not paying what the damage calls for. If our inspection supports the claim, we document it to back you up.

Insurance claim questions, answered

Should I call a roofer or my insurance company first after a storm?

Calling a roofer first does not count against your claim. We can inspect the roof and tell you whether you have damage worth filing on before you ever call your insurer, so you go in knowing what is actually there.

Does homeowners insurance cover hail damage to my roof in Nebraska?

Most Nebraska homeowner policies cover sudden storm and hail damage, but it depends on your policy and your deductible. We document what we find so your claim reflects the actual damage. Remember, your policy decides what is covered, not the person on the phone.

How do I know if I have enough damage to file a claim?

You often cannot tell from the ground. We inspect the roof in person and show you what we find with photos. If the damage does not support a claim, we tell you that too.

Can you meet with my insurance adjuster at the property?

Yes. We can be there when your adjuster inspects the roof so the damage we documented is reviewed together.

What happens if my insurance company denies my roof damage claim?

A denial is not always the final word. We help you understand the reason, look at your options, and push back when your insurer is not paying what the damage calls for. If our inspection supports the claim, we document it to back you up.
